ABOUT BECKY
Your Personal Guide
My role as an educational consultant is to help calm anxiety and serve as a personal guide as students prepare for this next stage of their life.
My experience has taught me that for students to succeed academically, thrive personally and socially, and benefit from the opportunities and resources available to them, they need to be in an environment that is a right fit for them.
But that “right-fit” place is a deeply personal process of exploration, self-discovery, and finding clarity.
Drawing from my previous experience in working with high school students, expertise in college counseling, and knowledge of colleges and universities and the changing trends in higher education, I help each student find colleges that will be a good match for them– with room to grow.
I get to know each student as I help them discover who they are and who they want to be. Together we explore their interests and passions, career options, and possible academic majors, and identify schools or programs that are right for them. I then guide them through the labyrinth of the application and selection process and prepare them for a smooth transition to college.
I provide a personalized and curated program that supports all students and families looking for direction and guidance to find their path after high school. This may include 4-year colleges and universities, and vocational or trade schools. and even gap-year experiences. For more details and to discuss how I can help your child through this process, please schedule a complimentary, no-obligation consultation.
EDUCATION
With a master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from the University of California-Irvine, I am equipped with the knowledge and expertise to partner with students and their families to navigate the sometimes-turbulent and often noisy times of post-high school planning.
ETHOS
I adhere to the principles of the independent Educational Consulting Association (IECA) and make it a priority to stay up-to-date with admissions and the college world through continuing education and college visits.
